Known for his ability to pick wickets of knuckleballs, Andrew Tye played for the Lucknow franchise in the Indian T20 League 2022 edition, after going unsold in the mega-auction. The pacer was roped in as the replacement for star English bowler Mark Wood, who was ruled out of the tournament last year.

However, Tye had a sepulchral outing last year as he bagged only 2 scalps and with a lack of wickets under his belt, it is highly likely for the teams to overlook Tye, given that 21 cricketers from Australia will go under the hammer on the auction day.
