1) Shubman Gill goes past Suresh Raina’s record
Scoring his first-ever T20I hundred against New Zealand in the third T20I on Wednesday, Gill went past Suresh Raina’s record on Wednesday’s game against Kiwis to become the youngest Indian to score a century in the shortest format of the game. To add more, the former Indian cricketer Raina achieved the feat when he was 23 years and 156 days old.
Gill, however, surprised everyone as he scored a T20I hundred at the age of 23 years and 146 days, 10 days earlier than the southpaw. The right-handed batter is fast becoming India’s best batter across all formats and the fans are still in awe of his enthralling ton.
