The Hardik Pandya-led Indian team put on 234 runs on the board after electing to bat first on the day and chasing a mammoth target, the New Zealanders were bundled out for just 66 runs, thereby registering the lowest-ever total against India. 

For the unversed, Ireland held the record previously with 70 runs in a T20I match played in Dublin in 2018. It was captain Pandya who led the team from the front during the chase from Black Caps with his four-for, with Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik and Shivam Mavi picking up a two-for each.
