Everyone is aware of Virat Kohli‘s craze. His fans have always expected their favourite player to score runs in every game he plays. However, between 2019 and 2022, the veteran Indian cricketer was stuck in a rut. Virat had not scored a century in nearly three years, and fans were eager for him to achieve the feat.
The century drought came to end when Virat scored his 71st international hundred and maiden T20I hundred against Afghanistan in Asia Cup 2022. The 34-year-old least expected to score a century in the shortest format, but was immensely happy to get there.
The match and his knock have now become even more memorable because a picture from the match appeared on the question paper of the 9th Standard English exam. The students were asked to describe the innings and the lead-up to it as the player ended his century drought.

Virat has since gone on to score a century in every format, bringing his total to 75. The most recent came during the fourth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which took place in Ahmedabad. After 1205 days, he scored a century in the game’s longest format.
The right-handed batter is now preparing to play in the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League. The former Bangalore team captain will be playing at the M Chinnaswamy after a gap of nearly four years. Bangalore will play their season opener against Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai on the 2nd of April. Bangalore’s home ground will host the clash.
