The Bangalore team fans in the Indian T20 League have often been termed as the Best fans in the world by the players. However, the local fans of Bangalore have not been able to watch their favourite players take the field at the M Chinnaswamy for almost four years now.

That is about to change as the Indian T20 League is set to return to the original home-and-away format for the first time since 2020. The tournament has been played across different venues since  2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2020 season was played in the UAE. The 2021 season’s first leg was played in India, while the postponed second leg was played in the UAE. The 2022 season was played across four venues in Mumbai and Pune.

The M Chinnaswamy Stadium has now been lit up for the Bangalore players’ homecoming. The fans will be eager to watch their favourite player and former team captain Virat Kohli at their home ground. Notably, this will be Glenn Maxwell’s and captain Faf du Plessis’ first home match playing for Bangalore.

The three-time finalists will open the season with a clash against Mumbai on the 2nd of April at their home ground. The five-time champions will be looking for a strong start this time around after a terrible season in 2022. The team led by Rohit Sharma appears to be a very strong side on paper and can give competition to any team.
