Thomas Tuchel had a disappointing end to his Chelsea career as he was sacked from the job after a regime change. The German coach had won the coveted Champions League in 2021 but fell prey to the Chelsea board that likes to chop and change after disappointing results.
The 49-year-old also went through a divorce from his wife of 13 years Sissi Tuchel. Ever since then reports emerged of his fallout with Chelsea’s dressing room and a sharp drop in the performance of players. A Champions League loss against Dinamo Zagreb was the last nail in the coffin for Tuchel at Chelsea.
Many fans claimed that the German coach looked broken at the end of his Chelsea stint and that sacking would bring him a much-needed break. If images are to be believed, it looks like that’s what the former PSG coach did.
A new image that is doing the rounds of the internet shows Thomas Tuchel who appears to be a priest in Kerala. The image corroborates well with the earlier image of his arrival at Kochi airport on October 11th. Two Chelsea fans had gotten a tip from Doha that Tuchel would be flying to Kochi and ran to the airport at 2 AM. They were able to meet the popular coach and also clicked. It was those pictures that broke the news of his arrival on the internet.

“He was such a gentleman. He asked us how we knew he would be there. We told them the story and he was really happy. He let us take selfies. We told him how much we love him. It was such a surreal experience”, Joby, the fan that met Tuchel in Kochi airport had said.

Will Thomas Tuchel go for the England job?
Fans are now wondering what the next job for Tuchel could be. The German has been linked to England’s national team job for a while now. With Barcelona going to the Europa League, there are dark clouds over Xavi’s job as well and Tuchel could be a shoo-in for the Catalan job as well. Many Indian football fans also claimed that Tuchel was here for a job opportunity in the Indian Super League, but that is a dream too far-fetched for fans.
