Ganapath Movie review:

Ganapath, written and directed by Vikas Bahl, is by no means an entertaining movie or one that keeps you interested. Ganapath presents a very ridiculous, headless notion that consists entirely of fight scenes and dancing routines under the pretence of being futuristic, and he expects us to adore it as well as believe in it. Bahl attempts to say a lot, but he doesn’t say anything specific. He is disorganised and disjointed due to a poor screenplay and a flimsy plot, and eventually, so are you.

Ganapath makes an effort to reflect on the stark disparity between the rich and the poor, but it stumbles so badly in the execution that it becomes just another dumb dystopian story. The tale never quite gets to the point where you want to believe it, even if it eventually seems to come together. Before the interval, the action moves a little slowly but manages to keep you interested in finding out what happens next. However, the second part consists solely of back-to-back matches in the wrestling ring.

The nicest thing about Ganapath is that it finishes right when you think you can no longer handle it. Wait, the first part merely showed the birth of the hero. The Hero’s Rise in Part 2 is yet to come. If you can restrict your expectations for a movie to some amazing dancing and action sequences, then see Ganapath. Otherwise, don’t expect much more.
