Yuvraj Singh
Yuvraj Singh was the most valuable asset of the Indian team at his peak. He was the architect of numerous memorable victories for the Men in Blue. The spin all-rounder played a crucial role for the team in their historic 2007 and 2011 world cup triumphs. His career graph, however, went downwards post the 2011 ODI world cup. Yuvraj was battling cancer and his return to cricket after his recovery was not memorable.
The big hitter looked like a shadow of his formal self upon his return. His poor form with the bat became a reason for being dropped from the side. He did make a comeback to the team afterwards. But never looked like the same player he was in the past. The all-rounder finally announced his retirement in 2019.
