Former India skipper Virat Kohli has paid gratitude to his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma on Instagram. The latter has been an integral part of his cricketing life since childhood. Not to forget, the right-hander touched his coach’s feet in respect. Apparently, Sharma visited his pupil as he latter was in Delhi for the Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore game last week.
In that game, the former India and RCB skipper scored another fifty in the tournament. Talking about Kohli’s run with the bat, he has amassed 420 runs in 11 games including six fifties. Meanwhile, the two-time World Championship winner posted a long message for his coach on Instagram. The 2008 U19 World Cup winner posted a long message expressing his gratitude.
“For some, sport will always come second so I feel it’s very important to celebrate those who believed in you from day one. I am forever grateful to Rajkumar sir who has not just been a coach to me, but also a mentor who has supported me throughout my journey. I was just a boy who dared to dream but it was your belief that helped me don the Indian jersey 15 years ago”, Kohli wrote.
“For every bit of advice, every batting lesson, every smack on my head, every pat on my back and for carrying my dream as your own, I want to thank you”, he further added.
