The 2011 World Cup winner was diagnosed with lung cancer right after the tournament. He recovered from the illness and started his foundation named ‘YouWeCan’. The foundation focuses on providing free medical services for cancer patients while also spreading awareness about cancer.
They also focus on creating awareness and removing social stigma about the disease. Anti-tobacco workshops and corporate awareness workshops are the few ways through which they try and achieve this objective.
