England vs Netherlands 3rd ODI: Preview, Probable XIs, Pitch Report, Match Details, and Updates

England- Netherlands

After clinching the series in the first two games, England would take on Netherlands in the third and final ODI game of the tour. The English team made a mockery of the Netherlands’ bowling in the first match, making a world record 498 runs in the process.

The second game was also won comfortably by England, despite a reduction of overs. They face each other for the final game of the series. Let’s look at how both teams shape up ahead of the encounter:

Team News:

England: England batters have had enjoyed great outings so far. With three centurions in the first game and two half-centuries in the second, while chasing, they have dominated Netherlands bowlers. Philip Salt has looked like a good prospect for the English team. The likes of Liam Livingstone and Jos Buttler are also in outstanding. However, the captain Eoin Morgan’s form is a big concern for the team. He is yet to a make a run in the series. Morgan would be looking to perform well in the last match.

Netherlands: The Netherlands team has looked like a deer caught in headlights against this spectacular English ODI side. Scott Edwards, however, has been one of the positives from the Netherlands side.

Netherlands would be looking to take this game as a match practice against one of the best ODI sides ever. Having said that, they will try hard to win at least one game in the series.

England Probable XI: Jason Roy, Philip Salt, Dawid Malan, Eoin Morgan (c), Jos Butler (wk), Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, David Willey, Reece Topley

Netherlands Probable XI: Vikramjit Singh, Max ODowd, Musa Ahmed, Bas de Leede, Tom Cooper, Scott Edwards (wk), Pieter Seelaar (c), Logan van Beek, Philippe Boissevain, Shane Snater, Aryan Dutt

Pitch Report:

The VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen is a batter’s paradise. Small boundaries and a good pitch to batting on means that you can expect England notching another high score if they bat first.
