Faf du Plessis has been fined for slow overrate
Amid the ongoing tournament, the issue of slow overrate has haunted many teams. Some matches have crossed the allotted time of four hours and have failed to complete their innings within the time. To charge the team with this, IPL has started registering complaints against them.
In a recent development, IPL has fined RCB skipper Faf du Plessis and Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson for maintaining a slow over rate. In a press release, IPL informed that due to the slow over rate and the first case of the tournament, they have been fined INR 12 Lakhs.
