Did she say Yes? Boy proposes to a girl during India- Netherlands World Cup match: Watch

A lot is happening at the 20-20 World Cup this time around.

The 20-20 World Cup got off with a couple of upsets wherein bigger teams were defeated by minnows and then India- Pakistan played one of the best matches of T20I cricket in the history of the game. Group 1 is going through its very own chaos in which anyone could qualify for the Semi-finals. In all that it is the fans who are having a great time; watching the game in stadiums as well as at home.

Amidst all these, a couple has found all cameras pointing at them. A video that is going viral on social media, shows a boy proposing to his girlfriend in the India – Netherlands match.

The incident took place in the second innings when Hardik Pandya was taking to his run-up for the second ball of the seventh over. Soon however the camera pans to the stands and a boy was seen taking to his knees and asking his girlfriend the magical four words, “will you marry me?”

The video shows the girl rising from her seat a little confused as to what was happening. Soon however she understands the situation and says yes to the boy’s question, all while the crowd around them was going wild seeing something like this take place in a cricket match.

A straightforward win for India

As for the match, it was a straightforward win for India after Rohit Sharma uncharacteristically decided to bat first after winning the toss. The Men in Blue made 179/2 on the back of three half-centuries from Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav.

With this win, India have topped Group B having four points in two matches. South Africa whose second match was abandoned due to rain stayed second with three in two matches. The Netherlands meanwhile stay at the bottom with zero points in two matches.

India will play against South Africa in their third match on October 30th at Perth Stadium.
