The 2023 ODI World Cup is set to take place from the 5th of October to the 19th of November later this year. The schedule was not designed with security concerns in mind for certain parts of the country during the months of October and November, which coincide with major festivals such as Navratri, Durga Puja, and Deepavali. 

The police forces in major cities like Ahmedabad and Kolkata highlighted that handling the crowd would not be easy during the festival. As a result, the Indian cricket board had to reschedule some of the matches to different dates. Many of these matches are high-profile ones, for which there will be a lot of crowds. The final schedule for the 2023 ODI World Cup is out.  

Rescheduled matches in the 2023 ODI World Cup

There are many changes in the scheduling. The rescheduled table has 9 matches that are changed from the initial dates. The matches which have been rescheduled are England vs Bangladesh, which will be played on the 10th of October, which will be a day game. Pakistan vs Sri Lanka game is rescheduled to the 10th of October, which will be a night game.   

The match between Australia and South Africa is rescheduled to be played on 12th October. Bangladesh vs New Zealand will be played on the 13th of October. The big rivalry game between India and Pakistan is set to take place on the 14th of October in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. England vs Afghanistan match is rescheduled to take place on 15th of October.  

Australia vs Bangladesh match will happen on the 11th of November, which will be a day game. On the same day, England and Pakistan will face each other in Eden Gardens, Kolkata, in the night game. The match between India and the Netherlands is rescheduled to take place on the 12th of November. All day games will start at 10:30 AM IST. All night games will begin at 2:00 PM IST. The final will take place on the 19th of November.
