Viral videos and pictures of MS Dhoni practicing with a bat bearing the name of his boyhood friend’s sports store on it have gone viral. As part of his increased training for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Dhoni has been hitting the nets.
MS Dhoni was spotted using a bat with a “Prime Sports” label while working out in the nets. Social media users quickly figured out that Dhoni was using the sticker to advertise a sporting goods store owned by one of his boyhood friends.
MS Dhoni has frequently discussed how his childhood pals helped him in the early phases during his cricket career. For the initial time during his career, he got a bat sponsor thanks to the assistance of one of his buddies. ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ showcased the cricket player’s equation with his buddies on a large screen. One of MS Dhoni’s best pals from childhood, Paramjit Singh, was always there for him.
In the 2024 Indian Premier League, Dhoni, who appeared to have completely recovered from surgery-related knee problems last year, would captain the Chennai Super Kings. Dhoni put an end to rumours that he was retiring from the IPL after helping CSK to victory the previous year by announcing he will play for at least another year.

In response to the question of who he had played under as the best captain, Shami really acknowledged the arbitrary nature of such evaluations. He understands that different people have different points of view, but in his opinion, the most accomplished person has to get the title.
The Team India bowler spoke to News18 India as he said, “Everyone has a different perspective on this. When we compare, we tend to favor the one who has achieved the most. In my view, it’s MS Dhoni because no one has been as successful as him.”
Even though MS Dhoni is the greatest captain, Shami was full of praise for Virat Kohli, calling him the pinnacle of batting skill. He praised Kohli for his incredible run of record breaking and the influence he currently has on Indian cricket.
