Famous Indian singer Arijit Singh has set the stage on fire. In the ongoing Indian T20 League 2023, the renowned singer sang quite a few superhit songs in front of a jam-packed crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. As Gujarat won the title last year, they will play the opening game of the upcoming season against Chennai at their home venue.
Meanwhile, ahead of the game, the opening ceremony of the league was set on fire by the singer. The fans enjoyed the time and vibed to the songs he sang. At the time of writing, renowned Indian actresses, Tamanna Bhatia, and Rashmika Mandhana finished the ceremony with their individual performances. Now, skippers of Chennai and Gujarat, MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya have entered the stage to unveil the trophy.

Gujarat has won the toss and elected to bowl first
Meanwhile, the home team skipper, Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bowl first. MS Dhoni was also looking to bowl first had he won the toss. At the time of writing, the playing XI including the impact player is yet to be announced.
“Absolutely! Good to play here and the kind of crowd we get here is exciting. I think almost everyone from the country has got motivation from him and nothing better than starting the season with Dhoni. Impact Player is different, so I’ve left it to him. Ashu pa was up all night. I don’t know and I’ve passed on the team,” Hardik said at the toss.
Dhoni said: We were also looking to bowl first and I don’t think it [the pitch] will change. Last night it rained and I don’t know if there will be dew. The preparation has been good and we assembled early [in Chennai]. Overall, it seems as if we’ve done okay. It [Impact Player rule] is a luxury to have and it becomes slightly easy to use here because in domestic it was at the 14th over. Four foreigners – Moeen, Stokes, Santner and Conway – and the others will fight for that one spot.
