India and Sri Lanka faced off against each other in the third T20I of the three-match series on January 7, Saturday and it was the Indian team who won the match on the back of a magnificent century from Indian star batter Suryakumar Yadav. To add more, the batter was on his best touch as he toyed with the Sri Lankan bowlers, going on to bag seven fours and nine sixes over the course.
Much to the surprise of the Indian fans, the superstar Virat Kohli reacted to the innings through his Instagram story and one has to agree that the bond between the two is one of the sweetest of all time in cricket. To add more, Kohli posted a picture of Surya, although it was an old image of the batter and praised him for his innings against Sri Lanka.

India clinch off emphatic win against Sri Lanka in final T20I
The Indian team bowled out the Lankan Lions to 137 after putting a mammoth score of 228 on the board. Hardik Pandya, the captain of the Men in Blue, opened up on the win and said that he was proud of the way Suryakumar batted right throughout the innings. The captain did not shy away from lauding Axar Patel for being active on the field, with the bat and the ball as well.
“I think he (SKY) has been surprising everyone every innings that he is batting. He is just telling us that batting is so easy. If I were bowling to him, I’d be disheartened on seeing his batting. Special mention to Rahul Tripathi – the ball was doing something but he showed great intent. Then SKY did his thing. You don’t need to tell him anything, he knows what to do. If there is any situation where he is unsure, we have our chats but more often than not, he knows what to do,” Hardik was quoted as saying after the match.
“I’m really proud of him (Axar), the way he is batting down the order and hitting. This will give a lot of confidence to him and the team as well. My motto in life as captain has been that I’ll back my players. These are the best T20 cricketers in India and that’s why they are here,” he added.
