‘Bhaijaan, yeh thoda zyada nahin ho gaya’ – Fans trolls Hassan Ali for calling Sarfaraz Ahmed ‘Salman Khan of Karachi’

Former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and Hassan Ali are out of favor as far as getting a place in the national side is concerned. Both have been out of the side across formats after January this year. Meanwhile, Ali posted an image of Ahmed wearing a black suit. The image was captioned “Salman Khan of Karachi @SarfarazA_54 #Maashallah #merakaptan Handsome.” In reply, the fans have been roasting Ali.

Meanwhile, talking about Hassan, he is playing the ongoing T20 Blast in England for Warwickshire Second Eleven. In the tournament, the 2017 Champions Trophy winner picked up seven wickets. In a recent game against Essex, Ali smashed 53 not out of 37 balls including four fours and four sixes.

Sarfaraz Ahmed and I have a great relationship: Mickey Arthur

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Pakistan’s team director, Mickey Arthur has a good relationship with former skipper, Ahmed. The duo worked together as captain-coach when the 2006 U19 World Cup-winning skipper for a time period. During this time, they not only won the 2017 Champions Trophy but also the direct qualification of the 2019 ODI World Cup.

Meanwhile, Arthur has said that he had a conversation with Ahmed but about the 2023 ODI World Cup. Apparently, there is a section of Pakistani fans who want Ahmed to play in the tournament, given their middle-order troubles.

“Look Sarfraz and I have a great relationship. I’ve touched base with him but as you know, there are so many people in the shake-up for the 50-over World Cup. So we haven’t spoken about that explicitly at the time, but I have caught up with Sarfaraz because him and I go back a long way. We’ve got a really good relationship.”

“Do you wish to play World Cup this year?” So, the former Pakistan skipper replied: “As far as I am playing, there is always a wish to play; I want to play cricket.”
