According to his relatives, a 23-year-old man committed suicide in West Bengal’s Bankura area after India lost to Australia during the World Cup final. According to the police, the incident happened on Sunday night about 11:00 p.m. in the vicinity of the Cinema Hall near the Beliatore police station area.

Rahul Lohar, the former employee at a nearby clothes business, had taken Sunday off to watch the championship game. According to his brother-in-law Uttam Sur, he committed suicide in his room, distraught about India’s loss to Australia. Sur claims that apart from the emotional fallout from the cricket match, Rahul’s life was going well.

On Monday morning, his body was taken to the hospital for a post-mortem, and the authorities reported an unnatural death. Although the police are refusing to speak on the death, an inquiry is already ongoing.
