It seems like England pacer Ollie Robinson won’t be spared any time soon for his sledge against Usman Khawaja. Former Australia skipper Michael Clarke has jumped on the bandwagon of former Aussie cricketers having a go at him. The two-time World Cup winner said that if the likes of Jofra Archer and Mark Wood were fit, Robinson would have been playing club cricket.

Notably, Archer made his comeback in competitive cricket early this year, and played a few white-ball games for the Three Lions. However, during the IPL 2023, his old-elbow issues resurfaced which is why he was ruled out for the English summer. On the other hand, Wood didn’t play much games due to injury. Meanwhile, Clarke added that Robinson must concentrate on taking wickets.

“He needs to shoosh,” Clarke said on the Big Sports Breakfast.

“If England were fully fit you wouldn’t even get a game, Ollie. If Joffra Archer was playing, or if (Chris) Wood had been playing and was fully fit, old mate — I don’t know what town he plays for — he’d be back playing clubbies.

“… I actually don’t know what he’s doing. If James Anderson is saying all this, he’s got street cred. He’s played 180 Test matches , he’s got a lot of wickets. This dude has been around for five minutes.

“… He needs to concentrate on taking wickets .. Ollie, just keep taking five-fors and then you can say what you like.
