The rising star of Bollywood, Ananya Panday, stole the show as the showstopper for celebrated designer Rahul Mishra’s most recent collection at the esteemed Paris Couture Week. World-renowned fashionistas and connoisseurs gathered at a stately location in the centre of Paris for the event, eager to see Mishra’s avant-garde designs. The master designer debuted his haute couture spring collection, titled “Superheroes,” on Monday at the fashion gala’s 2024 edition.
Fashion designers have often looked to insects and reptiles for inspiration when creating looks for the catwalk; the scaly, shimmering skin of these animals is usually the main source of inspiration. Rahul Mishra’s entire collection explores our “whole conditioning/education towards how we treat insects & feel the emotions otherwise coming from a primal notion of fear,” drawing inspiration from the world of insects, especially endangered species.

Regarding Ananya, Rahul Mishra wore an iridescent mini-dress with shimmering details and an ethereal silhouette on the actor. Ananya donned a miniskirt covered in sequins that glistened in black, white, and gold during Rahul Mishra’s fashion show in Paris. It features a plunging back design, a strapless silhouette, a form-hugging silhouette that draws attention to her trim figure, and a plunging slit on the front.
The Kho Gaye Hum Kahan actress Ananya carried a large transparent sphere adorned with vivid, glittering butterflies while walking the runway; this was a characteristic of the avant-garde ensemble. She added dramatic gold earrings and high-heeled black peep-toe heels to complete the haute couture look. She chose a matte pink lip tint, a pulled-back bun with her brows pulled back, winged eyeliner, darkened eyebrows, mascara on the lashes, a dewy flushed glow, and an outfit-coordinating black manicure as the finishing touches.
Ananya also wore a black skirt with a top that was adorned with a huge 3D dragonfly. The hand-stitched sequin is responsible for the exquisite detailing of the dragonfly and the shimmer on the sieve.
