Cricket fans will witness another larger-than-life T20 league very soon. A T20 league by the name of Ajman T20 Cup is set to start from March 13 in the United Arab Emirates. Four teams from Abu Dhabi T10 League – Bangla Tigers, Deccan Gladiators, Delhi Bulls, Northern Warriors and two other teams, Ajman Heroes and Maratha Arabians will participate in the tournament. The Ajman Cup will also act as a talent-spotting program for the T10 league. The tournament will be played in a single round-robin format. The top four teams will qualify for the semis and the winners will play the final on March 22.
Meanwhile, the founder of Abu Dhabi T10 League, Shaji Ul Mulk believes that the tournament will provide a healthy environment to the players to reach their full potential
“The UAE has seen tremendous growth in the cricket community; the Ajman Cricket Council is working proactively to nurture the region’s raw talent and fortify them for the international stage. We wish to create an infrastructure where players can healthily challenge themselves, reach their full potential, and leverage Abu Dhabi T10’s extensive platform,†said Mulk.
