On Monday, the trailer for ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, which features Sara Ali Khan in the lead role, was released by Prime Video India. The video, which is almost three minutes long, was posted by the streaming platform on its YouTube channel. ‘The Quit India Movement’ of 1942 serves as the backdrop for the movie. In the teaser, Usha, played by Sara, was seen battling the British to rescue the country from their control.
In the trailer, a 22-year-old Bombay college student named Usha takes viewers back to a time before independence. She establishes an underground radio station as a means of assisting India in gaining its independence, and this station serves as the impetus for the Quit India Movement. The trailer emphasizes the bravery, selflessness, and resourcefulness of the country’s youth during India’s struggle for independence through the journey of her character.

Inspired by actual occurrences, the film follows a crucial phase in India’s struggle for independence. Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the patriotic thriller-drama features Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra in key production roles. Along with Emraan Hashmi making a special guest appearance, the film, which is directed by Kannan Iyer, also stars Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’ Nell, and Anand Tiwari in important roles. Writing the screenplay for the movie is Kannan and Darab Farooqui.
The Hindi version of ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan‘, with dubbing in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, will debut exclusively on Prime Video on March 21 in India and over 240 other countries and territories worldwide.
