The friendship of two former Indian captains, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, is known to everyone. On many occasions, Virat has gone on record and praised Dhoni for believing in him and giving him chances at the top level. Virat has always considered Dhoni as his mentor.
The legends of the game have achieved many milestones for India. While Dhoni’s record in Apex Cricket Council events is unparalleled, Virat has taken India to great heights in Test Cricket. Dhoni has guided India to win the 2007 20-20 World Cup, the 2011 World Cup, and the 2013 Champions Trophy. Virat, on the other hand, became the first captain to guide India in a Test series win in Australia.
An image of a tea shop in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, has recently gone viral. Interestingly, the tea shop is named ‘Mahirat Amrutulya Chaha’ after Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. The two cricketers are well-known, and fans will go to any length to demonstrate their support for their favourite pair.
In the meantime, the two recently clashed against each other in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023. The fans expected both of them two to perform well in the match played at Royal Challengers Bangalore’s home ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, to their disappointment, the Chennai Super Kings’ captain scored just one run, while the former RCB skipper scored just six runs.
In the total 40 overs of the contest, nearly 450 runs were scored. CSK scored 226/6 in the first innings after batting first, thanks to half-centuries from Devon Conway (83 runs in 45 balls) and Shivam Dube (52 runs in 27 balls). For RCB, all of their bowlers took a wicket each.
The chase did not start off well for the 2016 finalists as they lost Virat and Mahipal Lomror early in the innings. However, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell, scoring 62 runs and 76 runs, respectively, got them back in the hunt. In the end, CSK bowlers held their nerves to defend the total and win the match by eight runs.
Here is how Twitter reacted to the tea stall’s name
