Despite playing 103 Tests for Team India, superstar batter has been out of the squad for a while now. According to reports, it is very unlikely that Cheteshwar Pujara will be able to make a return. Still, the Indian Test cricket legend is not going to drop that 0.1% chance of making a comeback.
He continues to show his skill during the Ranji Trophy for Saurashtra in spite of the general negativity surrounding him. With an average of 74.77, he has accumulated an astounding 673 runs this season. Pujara credits playing in a tough club encounter in Mumbai prior to the start of the season to get ready for the Ranji Trophy.
The right-handed batter talks about how much he loves the game and how he once scored a century against really strong opponents. Pujara was committed to succeed and win, even if his club squad had a lot of obstacles in their way.
Cheteshwar Pujara spoke to Hindustan Times about the passion that he possesses for the game. He said, “By playing a competitive club match in Mumbai just before the Ranji season. I just love this game. I am passionate about it.”
He added, “I got a hundred in that match against Dhawal Kulkarni, Sandeep Sharma, Shams Mulani and Shivam Dube. My club team was weaker against the opposition. So, I wanted to ensure I put my best foot forward and we won the match.”
“It’s about having the same passion” : Team India icon Cheteshwar Pujara
Beyond seeking personal glory, he is dedicated to helping Saurashtra advance towards the Ranji knockout stages. He plays with the same passion for every match, whether it is for his club, Sussex, or his state team.
The veteran Team India batter said, “I am saying this because that’s exactly why I play for Saurashtra. I want us to qualify for the Ranji knockouts. It’s about having the same passion whether it is Saurashtra, Sussex or my club.”

I can't understand why he's been dropped from the team? He is test specialist batter. Virat & Rohit has failed in so many matches , but he has been dropped from the team. The reason of his failure was not performing in WTC finals but what the other guys had done in WTC finals?
