The Indian contingent brought home more medals on an action-packed Day five of the Commonwealth Games 2022. India’s women’s lawn bowls team created history on Tuesday as they won the coveted Gold medal in the event which was also India’s first-ever medal in the history of the sport. Shortly after, India got its hand on another Gold as the men’s table tennis team beat Singapore in the final of the event.
Vikas Thakur also brought glory to the nation as he secured a Silver Medal in weightlifting on a successful Day for India. There was disappointment in the store for the Indian women’s hockey team as they tasted defeat. Apart from this, the Indian athletes gave many more moments to rejoice for the nation.
