Bangladesh are currently touring West Indies for an all-format cricket series. Having lost both the Tests of the Test series, the Bangladesh team were hoping for a good showing in the T20I series but that did not go as planned as well.
Bangladesh are preparing for the second T20I against West Indies. Let’s look at all the details about the upcoming game.
West Indies vs Bangladesh 2nd T20I:
West Indies:
The West Indies team has shown great promise in this series. Having outclassed the Bangladesh side in two Tests, they did the same in the first T20I as well before it was abandoned due to rain. Kyle Mayers was sensational with the bat as well as the ball and he would be instrumental to West Indies’ success in the limited-overs matches as well.
Romario Shepherd would be another player to look out for. Nicholas Pooran, the new white-ball captain, also has a great deal of T20I match experience under his belt and he would be looking to use that.
Bangladesh: In the first T20I match between Bangladesh and West Indies, it was the rain gods that helped the Asian team. Asked to bat first, the Bangladesh team failed miserably against the West Indies bowling lineup.
Before rain intervened, Bangladesh were struggling at 105/8 in just 13 overs. Romario Shepherd with 3-21-3 and Hayden Walsh with 3-24-2 were the pick of the bowlers from the home side. An intense rain washed out the game and Bangladesh players would have been thanking their luck for saving a loss.
If Bangladesh are to win this game, they would need to massively change their approach and improve their performance otherwise it would be smooth sailing for the West Indies side, akin to what they have done in the series so far.
