Will Pucovski, a cricketer from Victoria, had to leave the Sheffield Shield game versus Tasmania in Hobart due to injuries sustained to his helmet. He was hit while facing Riley Meredith, and he fell to the pitch. The 26-year-old was receiving medical attention because he was in difficulty.
Despite getting back on his feet, Pucovski was unable to continue and had to be replaced with Peter Handscomb. Campbell Kellaway was substituted into the starting lineup by Victoria for the remainder of the game due to a concussion. Cricket Victoria spoke to Fox Sport in a statement as it said, “Will is being treated by our medical staff.”
Pucovski recently achieved his first-ever first-class century in more than three years at the Sydney Cricket Ground, against New South Wales. Additionally, he secured his first county contract with Leicestershire.
A total of 13 concussions have been sustained by Pucovski over his career. In 2018–19, he took a hiatus from cricket to address mental health concerns. Pucovski missed a lot of time in the 2021/22 season because of concussions.
