Elden Ring’s DLC expansion is one of the most anticipated releases for this year. The developers have only provided players with just an image and a statement revealed that the DLC is in development.
However, fans have recently noticed multiple changes in the Steam backend for Elden Ring, especially in the DLC section. This has led them to believe that the developers are readying up for a revealing in the coming months.
Unknown addition to the DLC section
This came after the DLC section received an update a few days ago with an Unknown App 2778580. It could be anything, however, the majority of signs point to the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC as it has been almost two years since the game launched.
The original game launched on 25, February 2022. This month will mark its second anniversary, and fans hope that the announcement will also be done soon. Form software has been releasing DLC for their games after a year of release for quite some time.
The last few months also saw some changes to the Elden Ring, with people claiming the DLC to be in quality assessment before the final reveal.
As per previous reports, the upcoming DLC was revealed to be much larger in scope, which might explain the delay. The game was selected as 2022 Game of The Year, so the devs have to do something equal to that.
No word from the developers
As much as people would like the update to be the DLC, there has been no word from Bandai Namco or Fromsoftware in this regard.
There might be a possibility of the reveal on February 25, or it could take a bit longer, considering the developers also released Armored Core 6 last year.
