The ongoing Day started with India being 336/6 and Yashasvi Jaiswal nearing his maiden double hundred in Tests. He eventually reached the milestone and the team finished 396 all-out. In reply, the Three Lions were up and about their way to cut down the runs. Openers, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett provided a great start as they put together 59 runs before Kuldeep Yadav struck with the wicket of the latter.
On the other hand, Crawley and Ollie Pope added another 55 runs with the latter playing with caution. On the other hand, the former scored quickly and dominated the Indian bowlers. However, the right-hander tried one shot too many when Axar Patel was fresh in his first bowling spell. The opening batter hit a four by flicking it on the side early in the over.
Trying to do the same, he ended up hitting in the air. Shreyas Iyer, from the third man position from inside the circle, ran towards the ball as it was wobbling in the air. The India middle-order batter ended up taking the catch despite the tumbling.
