Harbhajan Singh has said that the biggest positive for the Indian Cricket after the Indian T20 League 2022 is all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Pandya led the Gujarat side to title victory in the debut season. Also, the all-rounder did well with the bat and ball during the season. The right-hander scored 487 runs in 15 games at an average of 44.27 and strike rate of 131.27 including the four fifties.
This performance has earned him a comeback to the Indian team for the five-match T20I against South Africa. He has been named as the vice-captain of the team as KL Rahul has been ruled out and Rishabh Pant taking his place as captain. Meanwhile, Singh has said that Pandya is worth the praises for the way he led his franchise team in the cash-rich league.
The two-time World Cup winner added that Pandya’s intent and positive captaincy are the signs that he can lead his national team in the future. For the unversed, Pandya will reportedly lead the national team on the tour of Ireland.
“One of the biggest revelations in this year’s IPL was the advent of Hardik Pandya as the skipper of the Gujarat Titans and the way he led the team from the front to win the coveted title is definitely praiseworthy.
