Tim David has been in the form of his life. He has carried the Indian T20 League 2022 form to the ongoing T20 Blast 2022. Turning up for Lancashire, David smashed an 18-ball 35 against Yorkshire in his first game.
He then produced a 25-ball 60 while batting lower down the order against Worcestershire on Sunday. His knock helped the team win the game by 12 runs. In the same match, he also grabbed headlines on the field with his fielding display, which left everyone in splits.
The incident involving Tim David happened off a Luke Wood’s delivery that was pushed through the covers. Standing at mid-off, Tim David ran to stop the ball going from the boundary. He dived full-length and managed to stop the ball from touching the ropes but also lost his trousers in the process.
However, the 26-year old cricketer didn’t pay too much head to the trousers slipping down and picked up the ball and threw the it back to the keeper before getting his trousers back up. On Monday, the Vitality Blast Twitter account posted a short video of the moment.
“We are sorry Tim but we just had to” along with a laughing emoji”, the Twitter account wrote as caption.
