In the Arun Jaitley Stadium, a devoted cricket fan was seen waving a poster commemorating Virat Kohli’s century. He would be married after seeing Kohli’s 50th ODI century, according to the banner in the picture. The photo of the banner is currently going viral on social media.
India is now playing Afghanistan in their second game under the leadership of Rohit Sharma. Afghanistan won the toss along with choosing to bat first versus India. Afghanistan’s starting lineup did not change, whilst India substituted Shardul Thakur for Ravichandran Ashwin.
Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi stated after winning the toss, “It looks like a good batting surface. We have a good bowling attack to restrict them. It looks like a good surface, we want to bounce back with the bat. We are enjoying, good chance to showcase our talent. We are going with the same team.”
Rohit Sharma spoke about how the team wanted to chase itself and it was a good toss to lose. He said, “We were looking to bat second. We saw the amount of dew last evening. Don’t think the wicket will change much. Need to bowl well and need to come back and bat better.”
He added, “We were under pressure (against Australia) to start with, but KL and Kohli batted well, we take a lot of pride. It was a good game for us, hopefully we can repeat that and keep the momentum going forward. Ashwin misses out, Shardul Thakur comes in for him.”
Naveen-ul-Haq faces the brunt from Delhi crowd
At the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, fans yelled “Kohli! Kohli!” as they greeted Afghanistan’s Naveen-ul-Haq, a fast bowler. The Afghans started this match against India coming off a crushing defeat to Bangladesh. But the spotlight during the lead-up to the India vs. Afghanistan match has centered on the dispute between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq, the famous Indian cricketer.
The two got into a heated argument at the Ekana Stadium during the IPL game involving Royal Challengers Bangalore as well as Lucknow Super Giants. During the game, there were a few angry comments between the two players, but when the teams gathered for the post-match embraces, the argument escalated.
