Subhash Ghai, who has helmed a number of big-budget films like Pardes, Saudagar, Karz, Ram Lakhan, and Krodhi, has revealed that he is working on a Khalnayak sequel. Sanjay Dutt played the lead role in the movie, which also starred Jackie Shroff, Madhuri Dixit, and other notable actors. Subhash Ghai has claimed that he will shortly announce Khalnayak 2 with Sanjay Dutt and a fresh actor, drawing influence from Gadar 2. It’s interesting to note that the movie’s 20-year theatrical run will end next month.

“Khalnayak will be released on September 4 through Mukta Arts Cinema, where we have more than 100 screens, as we have already arranged. The re-release of the movie will be celebrated with the press,” the filmmaker told Pinkvilla. Subhash Ghai also stated that he is intending to work on the sequels or remakes of legendary movies like Khalnayak, Karma, Saudagar, and Pardes because numerous producers have inquired about them.
The director continued, “You might hear some news regarding a sequel to one of these great famous pictures very soon from our firm. We have a story lab where they continue to work on the story, and I am in charge of that division. People enjoy nostalgia, thus Ballu Balram of Khalnayak might make a big screen appearance.”
Gadar 2, the latest film by Sunny Deol, has been breaking box office records. In India, the movie has already made over Rs 389 crore, and today it is anticipated to surpass Rs 400 crore. Gadar 2 is getting close to earning Rs 500 crore globally. The movie is directed by Anil Sharma and stars Sunny in addition to Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, and Simrat Kaur.
