Discarded India all-rounder, Venkatesh Iyer uploaded a video of playing cricket in the temple in Kanchipuram. He played cricket with the students of Veda Pathshala. The temple is situated in Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, in a video uploaded by Iyer, he wielded his willow. Apparently, as the IPL 2023 is over, a lot of uncapped Indian players are having an off-season.
The likes of Rinku Singh and Vijay Shankar are already making the most of their off-time. On the other hand, the left-hander, Iyer took an opportunity to visit the temple and play the game. The Madhya Pradesh player uploaded the video on his Instagram handle and it was been going viral ever since.

Venkatesh Iyer had a decent season with the bat in IPL 2023
Having played his third season with the two-time champions, Kolkata Knight Rider, Iyer had a decent season with the bat. He amassed 404 runs in 14 games striking at 145. 85 including one century and two fifties. Talking about the team, they failed to qualify for the playoffs for the second consecutive season, having played the final in 2021.
