Delhi Capitals’ player Manish Pandey had a forgettable day with the bat against Chennai Super Kings on May 10. He came out to bat after the fall of the second wicket in the form of Phil Salt in the third over of the second innings. Early in Pandey’s innings, he and Mitchell Marsh had a communication gap that led to the latter getting run out.

After this, Pandey and Rilee Rossouw put together 59 runs in as many balls. Despite both players hitting boundaries on occasions, they struggled to even rotate strike which was vital on a dry surface. Pandey hit two sixes and a four while Rossouw hit two fours and a six. Meanwhile, 1983 World Cup winner, Kris Srikkanth has taken a dig at Pandey.

The former said that Pandey is an impact player for CSK and not for DC. For the unversed, Manish Pandey was substituted for Khaleel Ahmed in the second innings.
