The Lucknow-based franchise unveiled its new jersey for the upcoming 16th season of the Indian T20 League. The dark blue colored jersey was designed by Kunal Rawal. Many players of the team including captain KL Rahul, mentor Gautam Gambhir, and the Indian cricket Board secretary Jai Shah were present at the jersey launch event.
Lucknow organised their new jersey launch program in Ahmedabad. The reason behind this is Rahul, who is part of the four-match Test series against Australia in Ahmedabad and the fourth Test of the Border Gavaskar series is set to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from March 9.
Lucknow performed really well in its debut season
They made a few changes in new jersey as the color is now dark blue. Last time the jersey was in light blue color. The Rahul-led team made its cash-rich league debut last season. Sanjiv Goenka’s RPSG Group bought this team and announced Rahul as their captain of the team. They performed really well in their first season, although that wasn’t enough to win the title as they got eliminated by Bangalore in the eliminator match
Several models attended the launch event and graced the event with their glamorous ramp walk. Some of the big players of the Lucknow franchise also attended the event, they also walked the ramp before the jersey launch. The 16th edition of the richest league in the world will kick off on March 31, Lucknow will play its first match on April 1, which will be against the runner-up of the previous season Delhi.
