Indian team cricketer Rishabh Pant is still recovering from serious injuries he acquired during a horrific car accident in December 2022 when he was driving from Delhi to Mumbai to surprise his family. Pant is known for his funny tactics behind the wickets during the match but he never misses the chance to entertain his fans when he is off the field.

On Monday, March 6, he shared a picture on his Instagram story in which he was seen playing a chess game. However, he did not disclose who he was playing with and kept the suspense alive. Meanwhile, he wrote a caption and asked fans, “Can anyone guess who’s playing????”

Pant’s injuries didn’t look serious initially but as soon as his scan reports came, there were multiple injuries reported on his body. And now it is revealed that he will need a lot of time to get fully fit to be back on the field again. The 25-year-old is likely to miss many major tournaments in 2023.

India are leading the Border-Gavaskar series by 2-1

Pant will miss the upcoming 16th edition of the Indian T20 League and the Delhi-based franchise appointed the Australian star batter David Warner as their captain in absence of Pant. However, the biggest blow came for the Indian team as Pant will miss the WTC final in June and will also miss the much-awaited 50-over World Cup which is set to take place in India this year.

The Indian team is clashing against Australia and missing Pant’s services as his replacement KS Bharat couldn’t do anything special in the first three Tests and now it is expected that the young sensation Ishan Kishan might be making his debut in the longest format in the final Test of the series which is also going to be a decider.

The Men in Blue are leading the series by 2-1 and the fourth which will be played in Ahmedabad is going to be very important for the Indian Team. However, India already retained the Border-Gavaskar trophy by winning the first two matches.

Here’s how fans reacted to Rishabh Pant’s Instagram story:
