The second season of the Legends League Cricket is all set to begin on 16th September 2022 when Indian Maharajas go head to head with World Giants. Let’s take a look at all the details of the upcoming tournament.
LLC 2022 Format:
Legends League Cricket is a 20-20 tournament featuring four teams. This tournament is exclusively meant for retired cricketers and hence the name ‘Legends’.
The LLC 2022 will feature four new teams who will play against each other twice, creating a 12-match league stage. The top two teams at the end of the group stage will play in a qualifier, the winner of which will directly move to the final scheduled on October 5th. The loser from Qualifier will get another chance at the finals when it plays the third team in the eliminator.
LLC 2022 Teams and Squad:
There are four teams in the tournament. Former Indian players captain all four teams. The former left-handed swing bowler Irfan Pathan will lead the Bhilwara Kings. Manipal Tigers will be led by Harbhajan Singh. Gautam Gambhir would lead the India Tigers team. Meanwhile, Virender Sehwag will captain Gujarat Titans.
There will also be a special match between India Maharajas and World Giants as the curtain raiser for the Legends League Cricket 2022.
