Naseem Shah is one of the youngest bowlers who was set to take part in the ODI World Cup 2023. He was one of the most economical bowlers for the Pakistan side this year and has chipped in with wickets for the team every time he has bowled. Travis Head has been in amazing form in all formats of the game this year and was one of the main batters for the Australian team. An injury to his right hand has effectively ruled him out of the first half of the ODI World Cup 2023 and it is unlikely that he will be able to compete even after his recovery period gets over. Australia will have to figure something out fast since he is one of the key batters of their line-up.

3) Tim Southee

During the ODI series versus England, Southee suffered a broken thumb after attempting a catch in one of the encounters. His experience would be tough to match but New Zealand will have to find Southee’s replacement fast.
