India lost the three-match ODI series against Australia after losing the final ODI by 21 runs in Chennai. The team’s batting was been their biggest concern during the series. They are facing criticism for poor team selection and unbearable batting performance. Star batter Suryakumar Yadav is attracting most of the criticism because of his three consecutive golden ducks.

Surya played just three balls in as many innings and bagged Golden Ducks. The 31-year-old batter is suffering from poor form and had a terrible time in the field. He got dismissed by Mitchell Starc in the first two games while Ashton Agar troubled him in the final ODI. His wickets in crucial match situations did cost India the series as Australia won the decider.

Although Surya becomes the first Indian to get dismissed on three consecutive golden ducks but he is not the only Indian to do so. The Mumbaikar joined the legendary Sachin Tendulkar in this unwanted list and became the sixth Indian batter to bag three back-to-back golden ducks. In this listicle, we will discuss five Indians to bagged three golden ducks.

Star India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been phenomenal for India with the ball and has been one of the biggest game-changers. He has represented his national side in 72 ODI matches and has clinched 121 wickets including two five-wicket hauls. However, batting is not his job and his numbers prove the same. The right-arm pacer has scored just 47 runs in 72 games at an average of 6.47.

He also made the list of players with three consecutive ducks for India in ODIs when he got out for 0 against Australia in 2019. In the span of 18 games, Bumrah got a chance to bat on three occasions, and every time he was dismissed for a duck letting him achieve the record. Currently, Bumrah is missing out on the action due to a recurring back injury and is most likely to undergo surgery soon.
