Pakistan cricket team’s upcoming cricket calendar has been revealed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The season will start with a Women’s series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka from May 24 to June 5. The teams will play three ODIs and as many T20Is in Karachi. From June 5-12, the Babar Azam-led Men’s side will host the West Indies for the three ODIs in Rawalpindi. In July and August, the Men’s team will tour Sri Lanka for two Tests and three ODIs.

The Tests will be part of the ongoing Test Championship cycle (2021-23) for the Men’s team. On the other hand, the ODIs will be part of the ongoing ODI World Super League, which will determine the direct qualifiers for the 2023 50-over World Cup in India.

Talking about the Women’s team, they will feature in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, to be played in July and August this year. Meanwhile, before the Games, they will play a tri-series in Ireland. On the other hand, the Men’s team will head to the Netherlands for three ODIs after their tour of Sri Lanka.

In September this year, the team will play the Asia Cup, although the tournament is in jeopardy due to the current economic situation in Sri Lanka. It will be interesting to see if Sri Lanka manages to host the tournament or if it will be shifted to another country.

Around the same period, the Women’s team will tour China for the Asian Games. On the other hand, the Men’s team will host England for seven T20Is after the Asia Cup. The England Men’s team will return for the three Tests in November this year. The Women’s team of Pakistan will also play the Asia Cup in October.
