After the Three Lions scored 347 runs batting first, the home team reached 591, thanks to a double hundred from Kambli and fifties from others.

Kambli’s second double hundred of the year came in the only Test against Zimbabwe at home. The Asian side batted first and amassed 536/7 with the left-hander 227 runs including 28 fours. The home team ended up winning the game by an innings and 13 runs as the Chevrons scored 322 and 201 in both innings.
