The Indian Cricket Board announced India’s squad for the remainder of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 on Sunday, after Rohit Sharma-led team hammered Pat Cummins’ Australia in the first three days of the second Test match in Delhi.

Jasprit Bumrah, who was doubtful for the Test series against Australia, has been left out of the Indian squad for the third and fourth games of the high-profile series. India’s apex cricket board has also announced the ODI squad for the bilateral series against Australia. Bumrah’s name was also left off the ODI squad as well.

After missing the Australia series, it is almost certain that Jasprit Bumrah will make his return to cricket for the Mumbai team in the Indian T20 League. The most recent discussion revolves around how he will manage his workload during the tournament. This is because the Test Championship Final follows the cash-rich league, and the World Cup is scheduled for later in the year.

According to Cricbuzz, despite being out of international competition for nearly five months, the National Cricket Academy has not granted Bumrah permission to participate in the Australia series. Bumrah is said to have played a few practice games at the Board’s facilities in Bengaluru over the last ten days. However, according to reports, the NCA managers have not given their approval for him to be considered for a national call-up.
