Ajay Jadeja, the former captain of India, has been appointed by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB). He is set to be the team’s coach for the ODI World Cup 2023 in India. They announced this move with the help of their social media handles as they posted. The update said, “ACB Appointed former Indian Captain and middle-order batter Ajay Jadeja as AfghanAtalan’s Mentor for the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. “
Between 1992 and 2000, Ajay Jadeja participated in 15 tests for India, amassing 576 runs at an average of 26.18, including four half-centuries and a personal high of 96.
In 196 ODI matches, Jadeja has played for India and has amassed 5359 runs at a strike rate of 37.47, with six hundreds and 30 fifty-sixes. Jadeja has also played in 111 first-class matches, where he has scored 8100 runs, and 291 List A games, where he has over 8300 runs.
Jadeja had been given the task of mentorship in an effort to improve Afghanistan’s dismal World Cup performance. During Afghanistan’s nine World Cup games during the ODI World Cup 2015, they won just one encounter. In contrast, the Afghan squad had to accept loss in each of its nine games during the ODI World Cup 2019.

Well Afganistan's batting is a bit weak, if they can score some runs, then I am sure their bowlers will do the rest of the job
