Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir is again trending again after another controversial act in the ongoing Pakistan Super League. In a match between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars on Sunday, Karachi bowler Amir pulled off a weird celebration after dismissing Shai Hope which looked obscene to the naked eye.
Amir finished with impressive figures of 2-0-12-1, as Karachi defeated Lahore by 67 runs. However, the fans weren’t happy with the gesture of the 30-year-old, as he seem to ignore the advice given to him by the former Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi.
Afridi on a Pakistani news channel confirmed that he advised the pacer to have control of his aggression after a heated moment with Babar Azam during Karachi’s match with Peshawar Zalmi. Amir seemed to throw a ball in aggression after the Peshawar skipper played it toward him.

“Whenever a player doesn’t perform, or even if he does, I drop him a message for call him. Likewise, I messaged Amir yesterday. I talked to him respectfully, but I also scolded him. I told Amir, ‘what do you want?’ You have gained so much respect, you faced a blot on your reputation and from there, you made a return. You got a new life, in a way. What are you even trying to do?” Afridi told Samaa TV.
“Ye koi tareeka hai? (Is this the way to play?) There are juniors around you, you are using bad words. There are fans who are disheartened to see that. Even we have used such words and, sometimes, the camera used to catch us. There are families, kids watching you on television. Aggression is fine, but keep it under control,” he further added.
Amidst this, another video has gone viral, where Amir could be seen making obscene gesture after picking a wicket. The fans have been livid with that and destroyed him on social media. Here’s a look at the reactions:
