India and Australia are competing against each other in the first Test of the three-match series that kicked off on February 9, Thursday and post being forced to bowl first, the Indian pacers Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj rattled the Australian openers David Warner and Usman Khawaja who made their way back to the dressing room after scoring 1 run apiece.
That being said, it was Khawaja who rushed to the pavilion first on the back of a stupendous delivery from Siraj that left the batter clueless. It was too close to pitching outside leg and with the umpire not giving it in favour of Rohit Sharma and his men, the skipper went upstairs right away with the hope to overturn the LBW appeal in their favour.
To the delight of the Indian fans, the ball was within line and the decision was overturned with three reds on the screen. However, right after the fall of the southpaw’s wicket, the Australians started claiming that it was the DRS at fault and that Khawaja deserved to stay in the crease, notably a renowned Australian sports media wrote a report on it.

However, the Indian fans were quick enough to give a perfect rebuttal and they hit back saying that it was plumb. Much to the surprise of the fans, several Australians sided with team India saying that it was indeed a proper wicket and that the DRS was not doctored, as claimed by many Baggy Greens fans and their media.
Post getting restricted to 2/2, it was Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne who rescued the team as they were reeling at 65/2 inching closer to the lunch break with Smith unbeaten at 17 and Lbuschagne at 38. It remains to be seen if Pat Cummins and his men would bounce back after being put on the back foot early on in the day.
