Former India skipper Virat Kohli and his wife and Bollywood Actress, Anushka Sharma have welcomed their second child. Three years back, they welcomed their first child, Vamika in January 2021. At that time, Kohli took a break from the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21. The team ended up winning the series 2-1. Three years later, ahead of the ongoing home series against England, the 35-year-old was granted a leave.

While the couple tried to keep mum about the arrival of their second child, former Royal Challengers Bangalore and South Africa player, AB de Villiers seemed to have spilled the beans. However, looking back, he did try to cover up by saying that he shared a fake news and the fans were left guessing again.

“Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him, but he has made the right decision,” de Villiers added.

“I made a terrible mistake at the same time, sharing false information, which was not true at all.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma confirm that AB de Villiers was right

In their recent social media posts, they shared the news and made it official.“With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love. We are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy, Akaay and Vamika’s little brother into this little brother!

“We seek you blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives.

Meanwhile, talking about the meaning of Akaay, the name of Kohli‘s second child, it means ‘immortal’ or ‘non-decaying’. ‘Kaay’ has the same root as ‘kaaya’ meaning ‘form’ or ‘body’. It is derived from the Sanskrit language.
