KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty are soon to be wed, and judging by the wedding preparations at the Indian cricketer’s Mumbai home, one can expect a lavish celebration. Athiya and KL Rahul were recently photographed together at the Mumbai airport on their way back from Dubai, where they spent New Year’s Eve together.
According to Hindustan Times sources, the couple will marry on January 23. In one of the paparazzi videos, hanging white lights are seen all over the building, and a few staff members can be seen looking over the arrangements at Cricketer’s home. Fans on social media have taken notice of the video.

Athiya and KL Rahul’s wedding will take place over three days at Athiya’s father, actor Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala. The event will kick off on January 21 with a ladies’ night. A close source said, “Athiya’s closest female friends such as actor Akanksha Ranjan will be a part of this.”
Other guests will attend the sangeet ceremony the next day. Friends of Athiya, as well as her brother, actor Ahan Shetty, and parents Suniel and Maya Shetty, are expected to perform at her sangeet.“It is an extremely close-knit family affair. Only friends and family members will be a part of the wedding. It’s most likely that you may not see many industry peeps,” a source told HT.
Meanwhile, when asked about the wedding, Suniel was quoted as saying, “Jaldi hogi (it will happen soon)”. Athiya and KL Rahul were rumoured to be dating for several years before making it official on Instagram.
While they never publicly discussed their relationship, they made it official when the cricketer attended the premiere of Athiya’s brother Ahan’s debut film Tadap in 2021. At the event, the couple posed with Athiya’s family. Suniel has also been seen at KL Rahul’s cricket matches and is close to him. He has frequently expressed his admiration for the cricketer.
