India and Hyderabad pacer Umran Malik has produced the fastest delivery of the season in only the fifth game of the season. In the ongoing game between Hyderabad and Rajasthan, he bowled at 149.2 kmph. The incident happened in the 15th over of Rajasthan’s innings. On the first ball of the over, Malik bowled a fullish delivery to Devdutt Padikkal. The latter was standing outside the leg stump.

As a result, he was away from the line of the ball which led to the loss of his wicket. Facing the thunderbolt from Malik from outside the line, the bat failed to come down in time and ratted the stumps with the off-stump doing a cartwheel. After bowling at 149.2, the Jammu and Kashmir player has bowled the fastest ball of the season already.

The team is led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar as Aiden Markram is currently playing for South Africa in the ongoing second ODI against the Netherlands. Meanwhile, in the game, Rajasthan amassed 203/5 at the end of the innings.

Opening pair, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler scored the fifties each alongside skipper Sanju Samson. Despite the middle-order not doing well enough, Shimron Hetmyer (22*) played a cameo and helped the team reach such a total. At the time of writing, Trent Boult has struck twice for the pink brigade and bowled a two-wicket maiden in the first over of the second innings.
